Community Home Carer
Primary RoleFull-time or Part-time ยท Leicester & Leicestershire ยท Competitive hourly rate
As a Community Home Carer, you will provide person-centred care and support to clients in their own homes. No two days are the same โ and no contribution is more valued.
What you will be doing:
- Assisting with personal care โ washing, dressing and grooming
- Medication prompts and administration support
- Meal preparation, hydration monitoring and light domestic tasks
- Companionship, conversation and emotional support
- Accompanying clients to appointments and community activities
- Completing accurate care records and handover notes
What we are looking for:
- A genuine passion for caring for people
- Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude
- Good communication and listening skills
- Access to a vehicle and a valid UK driving licence (preferred)
- Previous care experience is helpful but not essential โ full training provided
What you will receive:
Senior Care Worker

Our Senior Care Workers play a key role in delivering high-quality care and supporting junior team members. Ideal for an experienced carer ready for the next step.
What you will be doing:
- Delivering personal care to a caseload of clients
- Supporting and mentoring junior carers
- Assisting with care assessments and plan reviews
- Acting as a point of contact for clients, families and coordination
- Maintaining compliance with CQC standards and Abbey policies
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 2 years of home care experience
- NVQ / QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or working towards)
- Strong communication skills and professional manner
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Care Coordinator
Office-BasedFull-time ยท Leicester Office ยท Competitive salary
Our Care Coordinators are the organisational heartbeat of Abbey. You will schedule care visits, communicate with families, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
What you will be doing:
- Coordinating and scheduling carer visits across Leicester & Leicestershire
- Responding to client and family enquiries promptly
- Managing carer rotas and holiday cover
- Supporting the registered manager with compliance and reporting
- Maintaining accurate client and staff records
What we are looking for:
- Experience in a care coordination, scheduling or administrative role (preferred)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent telephone manner and written communication
- Confident using scheduling or care management software (training provided)

Ongoing CPD
Regular refresher training, specialist modules and team learning sessions throughout the year โ keeping skills sharp and knowledge current to CQC standards.
